FG against N165b monthly salaries of federal civil servants
– Nigeria’s finance minister, Kemi Adeosun, announced that the N165 billion monthly salaries to federal civil servants is too much
– “The economy is not measured by how many private jet we have but how many jobs we create.”
– The government is working hard on building a transparent system to detect ghost workers
Kemi Adeosun, the minister of finance, declared the N165 billion monthly salaries to federal civil servants excessive and not sustainable.
She made this known at a meeting with Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN) hosted by Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture on Thursday in Lagos.
Speaking on the economy reform agenda of the government, she stressed that the N165 billion represents 40% of the governement total spending — the huge figure would be reviewed in the near future.
